Amanda McCoy

is the founder, owner of the Hawks – Cougars Cheer Program. She has over 20 years experience in the cheer and gymnastic industry. Amanda was a cheerleader for her high school all four years, the she cheered at Riverside Community College. After college cheer, she moved on to coach high school cheer. She coached at Bloomington High School for three years. After this she moved on to coaching gymnastics and tumbling at Precision Gymnastics here in Rancho Cucamonga.

Amanda saw a need for programs within the primary schools in her area. The Valle Vista Elementary Principal at that time was Luanne Weaver.  With her encouragement the Hawks Cheer was founded. Amanda developed the cheer program at Valle Vista and it has flourished for 7 years now. As Hawks Cheer bloomed, Amanda also saw a need to start a cheer program at Cucamonga Middle School. She wanted CMS to be an extension of Hawks cheer just at a higher, more mature level. This is where Cougars Cheer was formed. Cougars Cheer is going on its 5th year at CMS.

Amanda McCoy is known for her complex cheer routines and performances. She is dedicated to teaching not only cheer routines but building self esteem and confidence in the young kids within her program. She believes confidence, kindness, strength, and correct training can build a young athlete’s character. She is excited to continue building her cheer programs.
